Water Rafting
Join the Raft Daft crew for one of the most popular activities in Scotland for all ages (10 years and up).
Adrenalin Junkie? – Then enjoy the thrills and spills of negotiating, at speed, live rapids on some of Scotland’s wildest rivers. Don’t worry – you will get wet. And for all budding Jack Sparrows out there – put into practice your pirate manoeuvres as you out paddle your companions.
Rafting is for all abilities with a choice of river sections appropriate for all kinds of groups.
No experience necessary as you will have a fully qualified guide steering your raft and cracking some really bad jokes.
All equipment is supplied - a wet suit, a buoyancy aid and a safety helmet.
Which River?
River Tay
Stanley section - 3.5 miles - Grade 2/3 - Close to Glasgow and Edinburgh a good fun intro to rafting for all.
Aberfeldy Section - 6 miles - Grade 3 - A longer section with some of the best rapids on the Tay. The trip starts with 3 miles of flattish water to get you into the swing of things.
River Tummel
3.5 miles Grade 4 Not for the faint hearted! A tight technical trip finishing at the Linn Of Tummell Waterfall (Only available at weekends during summer months due to dam releasing)
Rainy Day Rivers
For those who want something a bit different we can organize trips on other rivers that may be rain dependant.
Raft Guide Training
We can deliver Scottish Rafting Association guide training courses in a venue that suits you as well as Technical workshops and Practical Assessments.
Control freaks need not apply!
Try the newest craze to hit the rivers of Scotland - ‘surfing the rapids’ – the ultimate action packed adventure.
Crash through waves and stoppers whilst lying on your foam board kicking your fins to try and gain some control.
